Volkswagen Type 2 (Kombi) (1970)

Volkswagen Type 2 (Kombi) (1970)

Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi was introduced in late 1967. Type 2 is also known as T2, and depending on the body type, it is also named as the Bus, Kombi, Transporter, Microbus or a Camper. Volkswagen had updated the looks by removing the split windscreen, and made the Type 2 slightly bigger and squarer.

This specific car is a 1970 model. Also known as the “Low light”, referring to the front indicators situated below the front headlamps, as opposed to next to the fresh air grille on later models. The orange paint on this car is called Chrome Yellow with a tan interior. The car was restored to a very nice standard a few years ago and is absolutely beautiful.

With almost half a century passed since it was manufactured, it is not an exaggeration to say that time has totally forgotten about this car. It is literally a timeless piece of jewel.
